Alison Cottage is about three hundred metres along on the left hand side, opposite the entrance to the playing fields.

By train

Southwest Trains operate a regular service from London Waterloo to Salisbury. (This service also stops at Clapham Junction, where there is a regular Southern train service from Gatwick Airport.) There is also a regular train service between Southampton and Salisbury.

By bus

If arriving at the Railway Station, the main operator in Salisbury is Salisbury Reds. Catch the frequent Red 1 or Red 3 bus from Fisherton Street (opposite St Paul's Church) towards the City Centre and alight at Blue Boar Row, opposite the Market Square and outside Debenham's department store.

From Blue Boar Row it is possible to pick up another Salisbury Reds Service, the 44, which runs directly to 'Downton, Moot Lane Shelter' which is within 100m of Alison Cottage. If the 44 is not available, it is also possible to use a More Bus route, the X3, which runs to The Bull Pub in Downton. However, please be aware that this is about 20 minutes' walk from Alison Cottage.

By taxi from Salisbury

Traffic permitting, this should take approximately 20 minutes. A well established Salisbury taxi company is City Cabs.
